We are just regular people like you. We are not Professional Real estate people, or house flippers, or any other type of used car salesman you can imagine. We are just a regular older couple that have health issues and want to move closer to our Grand daughters for the remainer of our lives, That is why we are selling our lovely home.

Ten Years ago while we were both actively running our own bussines. we needed to be closer to an airport as we traveled extensively. At the time we were located two and a half hours from any airport and this meant we had to get up at three in the morning to get to an airport and check in on time for our perspective flights, Now being in our sixties this became tedious and so we made the decision to move closer to KCI and here we are! At that time we decided this was our forever home and proceeded to make it such. We painted in and out had a new deck built, new RV, pad, took out eleven trees, fenced the yard along with adding two sheds that matched the house, landscaped, put in a flag pole, planted roses,( boy, did we plant roses) ! Put in a summer kitchen, new porcelain tile in the DR and Foyer, had the fireplace completely restored, new roof, new windows and doors, new furnace and A/C, updated the kitchen, new carpeting , new bonus room and walk in closet in master suite. Built new surveillance room and had state of the art system put in. ( the police love our surveillance system). Put in a new stairway,shutters on the front, dogwood trees in front, new hotwater heater, new water softener. We just did all the things that made sense for our golden years. All of this on a fenced in corner lot! We did not want to be fixing things in our 80's.
Then fate had other plans. Frank had a stroke and a couple years later I also had a stroke. And this is when we new we needed to be closer to our granddaughters, That and it was now time to dowsize. So here we are, If we could sit another 3-4 years we could probably break even but we can't so the new owner gets all the benefits. We must sell for fair market value after all. Plus we kept a big box with all the receipts in it and we even have a structural engineers inspection and a plot plan we paid for. We have nothing to hide and we just want a family who will love and enjoy this home as much as we have.
I don't think we need to try and do a hard sell on our home , we need to honestly let the buyers see it and let the home sell itself . I firmly believe when there is so much Hype you just put up a red flag.

Our Neighborhood
From the very first day, we felt welcomed and made new friends, Our neighbors have been wonderful and we will miss them very much,
We even have Santa across the street! There are No strangers here in this neighborhood. Most people are walkers, and many walk their dogs, The school bus stops on the corner across the street from us and we know everyone in the sub division, just about, including the dogs! At Christmas we exchange cookies and goodies.
I should mention our public safety heroes, because they are in facr our neighbors too.
When we first moved to Blue Springs I encountered the police officers who kinda/ sorta patrolled our subdivision on bicycles and I remeber that gave me such a secure feeling! It was great to know those guys were out there. The other great impression I had was with the Central Jackson Fire Department Ambulance. District They are a hospital on wheels and those paramedics could teach today's medical staffs a lot! I just cannot say enough about our heroes in public safety hre in Blue springs. We are really fortunate!
Blue Springs is located 20 miles from down town Kansas city, where you can go to see a ballet, or Tran-Siberean orchestra, or a dinner theater etc, You can go 18 miles north to big Lodge or worlds of fun, or Oceans of fun, and there are Christmas vendor shows galore. Not to mention the Italian Festival in October and just events and concerts all the time! There is always something to do!
In town you have parks, a lake, and an old town on the south end of Blue Springs plus shopping and events for everyone. We have 2 auquatics centers plus a fieldhouse. If you can't find it in Blue Springs, you don't need it. We alo have our own Ballet school of some very accomplished talent. In the summer we have a wonderful farmer"s market! Plus the cheifs are only a couple miles away, as are the Royals, that's right both stadiums are just down Highway 40 a few miles/
